Atlantic Diving Supply, Inc. Director of Corporate Quality in Virginia Beach, Virginia

Responsibilities

  • Direct development and implementation of the corporate Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Responsible for evaluating, reporting efficiency and recommending improvements of QMS processes to Executive Staff
  • Manage and maintain the Company's quality inspection and product release programs
  • Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout organization
  • Facilitate Executive Management Review
  • Champion process-improvement efforts across all Departments
  • Manage development of measurement systems to determine organizational effectiveness
  • Coordinate customer audits
  • Benchmark QMS activities through liaison with external organizations
  • Oversee the internal and external audit program including regulatory agency inspection readiness, and for-cause inspections
  • Support executive strategic planning and deployment activities
  • Manage conduct of following investigations: nonconforming product, customer complaint, and corrective and preventive action. Ensure all investigations are performed and closed in a timely fashion. Monitor and report adverse events
  • Oversee and direct the development and administration of the corporate Quality Management annual budget
  • Provide guidance, interpretation, support, training, and input on the interpretation and implementation of regulations, guidelines, company procedures, and policies. Participate in or lead teams for special projects as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Master's and Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Solid understanding of Company's Quality Management processes
  • ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, required
  • 10 - 15 years of leadership/management experience
  • 5 8 years experience with government programs, either in sales or development

  • Excellent oral presentation and written skills
  • Able to work collaboratively as well as independently
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Outgoing personality'comfortable talking to people and creating relationships
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence, highly desired
