The InterContinental Hotels Group® properties in Dubai Festival City consist of four hotel brands. These include the luxury brand InterContinental, the superior upscale Crowne Plaza, the lavish long-stay InterContinental Residence Suites and the vibrant mid-scale Holiday Inn. In addition to over 1000+ bedrooms, the four properties boast a selection of high quality restaurants and bars, an impressive 3,800 square meter Event Centre across two levels, the 5,000 square meters Festival Arena by InterContinental, the luxurious Spa InterContinental, state-of-the-art gymnasium and swimming pool facilities. A little taste of your day-to-day:

  • Oversee the production of a wide range of French pastries, authentic Parisian breads, cakes, and pastries, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to established recipes and standards.

  • Create and update pastry menu that reflect seasonal ingredients, current trends, and the preferences of our clientele while maintaining the essence of French pastry traditions.

  • Maintain quality control measures to uphold the highest standards of taste, texture, presentation, freshness, and finesse in all pastry offerings.

  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

  • Efficiently manage the pastry & bakery kitchen operation, including inventory management, equipment maintenance, and sanitation protocols, to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.

  • Develop and manage pastry & bakery budgets, monitor food costs, and implement best practices without compromising quality or creativity.

  • Work closely with the service team to address customer feedback, enhance the dining experience, and exceed guest expectations through exceptional pastry offerings.

What we need from you:

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Executive Pastry Chef, with expertise in French pastry techniques and traditions.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Culinary degree or certification from a reputable institution is preferred.
