This role will contribute to identifying key strategic opportunities within our key partnerships. As the Insights and Strategy Specialist, you’ll be at the forefront of guiding decision-making for strategic partnerships. You’ll work with global teams, diving deep into complex information to fuel strategic initiatives. We’re looking for a candidate who can think strategically, solve problems effectively, and has a strong understanding of Microsoft systems. Your primary responsibility will be to comprehend the information needs of our stakeholders, transforming these needs into actionable insights, and overseeing the entire process with our Business Intelligence Team. You’ll be in charge of designing dashboard layouts, setting access permissions, and ensuring the accuracy of information from SoftwareOne and Microsoft systems. More than just interpreting dashboard data, you’ll be expected to draw meaningful conclusions, provide strategic guidance, and communicate your findings to stakeholders. A deep understanding of data, the ability to spot trends, and effective communication skills are crucial. You’ll also be tasked with identifying data gaps and suggesting improvements. This role is not just about handling information; it’s about using that information to make strategic recommendations that will shape the future of SoftwareOne. Core Accountabilities: Data Analysis and Insights: Aggregate and analyze data from SoftwareOne and Microsoft systems for key projects, provide actionable insights, and collaborate with partners to build a data-driven strategy. Business Strategy: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs, decompose business needs into functional requirements, understand complex problems, and determine data needs. Program Management: Manage all data requests, prioritize based on business impact, coordinate with the Business Intelligence Team (BIT) for data extraction and transformation, and oversee the entire process from initiation to delivery. Dashboard Design and Validation: Collaborate with stakeholders to define dashboard specifications, design the layout of the dashboards, decide on access permissions, determine layout and visualizations, and validate dashboards against requirements. Quality Assurance and Gap Identification: Ensure dashboards meet quality standards, validate data accuracy, address discrepancies promptly, and identify any gaps in the data, making recommendations for data needs as necessary. Propensity and Probability Modeling: Support the development of partner programs and sales plays by leveraging account purchasing data, partner data, and third-party data to build propensity/ probability models What we need to see from you Extensive experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role. Proven proficiency in data manipulation and deep understanding of data output to inform strategic decision making. Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. A strong understanding of the business to provide relevant and actionable insights. Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
