We know that it’s never been more crucial that we move fast and act now, and our corporate responsibility team is at the heart of this, supporting IHG’s three operating regions – The Americas, Europe, Middle East, Asia & Africa (EMEAA) and Greater China. We also hold responsibility for leading all ESG reporting activities and communicating progress to a variety of highly engaged stakeholders.

The Role

Reporting into the Global PMO Director (Journey to Tomorrow) you will provide support with budget management, wider research and administrative support for the Corporate Responsibility (CR) team and the wider Global Corporate Affairs (GCA) team as required.

Budget and Spend Management

  • Monitor actual and planned spend against budget on a regular basis and provide additional budget support as required.

  • Complete monthly reconciliation of GL accounts against budget trackers.

  • Assist CR and GCA team members with raising POs as required.

  • Support with natural disaster response and other communities-related payments through PeopleSoft.

  • Support development of any global investment requests.

  • Register new suppliers within Procurement systems.

Wider Research and Administrative Support

  • Manage team meetings including scheduling, agendas and key updates.

  • Support partnerships with stakeholders (clients, employees, charities, NGOs and others).

  • Gather data for verification of disclosures in Annual and Responsible Business Reports.

  • Develop high-level materials to summarise and communicate team initiatives.

  • Research and report on CR efforts of other companies.

  • Provide wider administrative support as required e.g. Responsible Business Report (RBR) production and diary planning for sign off.

  • May perform additional projects upon request and support with adhoc reporting where necessary.

What we need from you

  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.

  • Evidence of interest or working experience in sustainability, communities, climate change and the environment.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications

  • Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to understand and work with numbers.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders.
