Google Customer Engineer, Business Intelligence, Google Cloud in Hong Kong

Minimum qualifications:

  • 8 years of customer-facing experience as a solutions architect, data scientist, technical consultant, or technical pre-sales.

  • 5 years of experience in all phases of the pre-sales cloud engagements.

  • Experience deploying, fine-tuning, and consuming proprietary and open-source Cloud Native services.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certification in Google Cloud or similar.

  • Experience with thought leadership and innovation around Cloud Transformation.

  • Experience as a leader, bringing mentorship, with the ability to work in a matrix environment across stakeholders.

  • Ability to be a trusted advisor to customers by building, guiding, and facilitating relationships with technical executives, data scientists, and system architects.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze problems and develop actionable plans quickly.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

As a Customer Engineer, you will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) who advises customers on the differences between Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and other offerings. You will engage with the Sales teams, Customer Engineering teams, Marketing, and Field Leadership to differentiate from competition and help land wins. You will lead the latest technologies across multiple public cloud providers to help customers build state-of-the-art solutions on GCP.

  • Guide technical and business decision-makers through their Cloud selection process.

  • Stay up-to-date with the ecosystem of software vendors in the Cloud space by analyzing OpenAI and open-source services to extract technical and business insights that drive reference architectures, runbooks, blogs, and training content.

  • Create field enablement materials for internal communities and the broader GCP field to help them understand how our offerings integrate and compare with other Cloud Sales Platforms offerings.

  • Work with Customer Development and Data Science teams to deeply understand their business and technical needs, and design solutions that make the best use of the GCP cloud platform and services to address their requirements.

  • Create and adopt assets and automation.
