Vectrus Project Logistics and Property Manager in Iraq

Overview

R esponsible for the movement, distribution and storage of materials and equipment for a large USG operations and maintenance and life and logistics support services program . The Project Logistics and Property manager s erves as technical advisor on all property management issues. The duties and responsibilities listed are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.

Responsibilities

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring safety is the highest priority in the workplace.

  • Comply with all Environmental & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.

  • Responsible for managing, monitoring and tracking property based on site location, type and usage.

  • Manage an accurate inventory of all property.

  • Maintain and update property records.

  • Acts as the Contractor’s principal property management representative ensuring that all task order requirements are met.

  • Responsible for allocating and managing staff resources according to changing needs

  • Manage property staff.

  • Inspects property to ensure compliance with safety policies.

  • Liaise and negotiate with customers and suppliers.

  • Identify problem areas and respond to mission requirements to perform task order requirements.

  • Plan and manage projects.

  • Control resources; monitor staff proficiency and qualifications; monitor the locations and activities of assets; and coordinate the flow of information to and from O&M staff.

  • Resolve property issues.

    MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:

  • PC & Associated Software's, PDA, printer, calculator, FAX machine, copy machine, bar code reader/scanner and other general office equipment, hand truck, flat bed cart, pallet jack , assigned vehicle .

  • Windows Computer and associated software, cell phone, two-way radio, vehicle and other office equipment.

  • all equipment of types that require maintenance or certifications pursuant to the OBO Maintenance Standards and/or applicable code or manufacture requirements,

  • equipment which is operated through a sequence of operations, • electronic controllers, sensors, and network devices, • agency owned sensors, if applicable

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

    This contract is performed in a contingency operations environment, in a harsh climate, and often hazardous situations. While performing the duties of this contract, the employee will regularly be exposed to an extreme and austere desert environment. Temperatures can reach 120 – 130 degrees Fahrenheit/50 – 55 degrees Celsius during the summer months. Employees must be willing and able to perform job requirements in this environment, as well as deploying to Iraq for extended periods. Work schedules are typically six (6) days per week and ten (10) hours per day. Employees may be performing physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors. All employees must be able to move quickly to cover during security alarms. This includes being able to lift, carry and/or wear forty (40) pounds of personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time and being capable of running during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk. All staff must maintain physical and dental requirements for duration of deployment.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED

Education / Certifications : .

Five (5) years property and logistics management experience compatible with program requirements.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration , Logistics, Public Administration or similar discipline, or at least ten (10) years of direct experience in property and logistics management in lieu of formal education

Intermediate level certification from a reputable organization (e.g., Certified Property Professional Administrator [CPPA] from the National Property Management Association {NPMA})

Valid driver’s license from home of record.

Security Vetting: Already possess a U.S. Government (USG) issued Secret security clearance or be able obtain a favorable USG Secret clearance prior to being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required clearance level for the duration of the task order.

Language Skills: Satisfactory English proficiency to meet job requirements.

Citizenship : U.S. citizenship is required .

Desired:

  • Relevant overseas property management experience.

  • Previous international experience and previous work experience in harsh environmental conditions.

  • Experience working with Contractor.
