Lenovo F&A (管理財務部) houses a variety of roles from FP&A・Controller(経営管理), to Accounting, Tax, and Treasury/AR, offering a wide variety of skill and career development opportunities.
■ About Organization
Manager: Japan FP&A / Category Finance Manager
Subordinates: None, but aspiring individuals will be given organizational projects/responsibilities
Number of Peers: approximately 6 (Segment Controllers and FP&A Analysts/Senior Analysts) who are in equivalent roles with differing business/functional counterparts.
■ Roles and responsibilities
The Senior Financial Analyst will work as the Finance partner to support one of Japan’s segment business by:
working with segment sales, operation, marketing, and service teams, to control the business progress through forecasting, actual and performance tracking.
help drive business decision/activities including: analyzing variances and trends, capturing new / significant business opportunity, and identifying/providing insights to improve structural financials
being responsible for maintaining discipline in his/her work process by establishing a strong/sustainable framework and simplifying/automating routine work.
leading cross pillar projects and improvement initiatives, leveraging data analytics / BI skills.
■ Key Interaction with:
- Japan function teams, Segment leader, Segment 4P/SOP, AP Segment Controllers, COE (Center of Excellence) team based in Dalian China, Japan CFO/Finance team.
Requirements
Experience & Skills - Must Have – essential
3-5 year experience financial analysis and/or reporting, with particular emphasis on revenue/cost/expense.
Analytical proficiency with strong financial background.
Positive and proactive problem-solving attitude.
Ability to organize / prioritize work in order to deliver against fast turnaround expectations.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Japanese.
Ability to work through large / complex data sets, and experience in participating in systems/processes transformation projects.
Strong MS Excel / Powerpoint skills.
Advanced in BI tools (Power BI).
Experience & Skills Good to have – desirable
IT or related industry experience is an advantage.
Experience in a large multinational (e.g. Fortune 500), matrix organization is a plus.
MBA, CPA, and/or CFA desirable, but not required.
Broad systems and also specific application experience (SAP).
Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is a plus.
