Ford Motor Company Powertrain - STA Site Engineer in Mexico

•Interact with a wide range of Internal Customers and Technical Issues

•Problem-solving knowledge

•Developing and tracking of robust Industrialization Plans

•Lead assigned suppliers in implementation of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)

•Robust execution of Manufacturing Feasibility assessments, PFMEA, Special Characteristics (SCCAF) and Control Plans.

•Measurement Systems Analysis (GR&R)

•CAR Capacity Analysis Report (tool to analyze capacity line /equipment tooling)

•Health Charts & Manufacturing Process Standards compliance and validation of implementation on supplier’s production/manufacturing floor

Site STA responsibilities

•Serve as single point of contact for assigned supplier sites, accountable for site performance for new product launch and ongoing part quality.

•Provide technical support to aid in improving quality systems and lead all quality concern resolution for suppliers and Ford plant.

•Support to the supplier to be certified (ISO, IATF, Q1 ) for a better performance. Ensure all their documentation APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) / PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and review that they match as each other.

•Drive Supplier Process capacity actions execution, Capacity issues resolution, capability verification & risk mitigation working Supplier leadership teams.

•Drives engagement of Top Poor Performing Suppliers and Quality performance improvement.

•Drives Flawless launches globally, by ensuring external suppliers are robustly prepared to support new programs through effective deployment of APQP / PPAP disciplines.

•Escalates capability shortfalls and supports cross-functional mitigation activities.

•Providing supporting sourcing process to supply chain.

  • Automotive experience 3+ years of experience

  • Chassis or Powertrain knowledge

  • Manufacturing processes

  • Lean and Six Sigma

  • Advanced English

  • Attention to detail

  • Initiative / escalation / negotiation

  • Flexibility (coaching, teaching and support) to suppliers
