A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
Making every single meal a feast for the eyes and treat for the tastebuds during breakfast, at the Club Lounge, Room Service, De Japanner Zuid, Manhattan Lounge Bar, Canteen and Banqueting.
Directing daily kitchen activities as well as coaching and developing the kitchen team.
Being capable of leading a team towards hosting groups of people in both our restaurant, bar as well as our banqueting department.
Encouraging and addressing guest feedback.
Helping our Head Chef and F&B Manager plan events.
Who you are
You bring at least 2 years of experience in a similar position with you or you are ready for the next step.
Extensive knowledge of Asian cooking techniques and ingredients is an advantage
You can dream all the ins and outs of HACCP legislation and understand how important this is in a large organization
Someone who takes challenges with both hands and keeps smiling no matter what
At least one year in a supervisory capacity, or equivalent combination of education and culinary/kitchen operations experience

About us
Crowne Plaza Amsterdam-South is located in the bubbly Zuidas area, just a 5-minute walk from station Amsterdam Zuid which connects you to the city centre within 10 minutes. Easy to reach, the area previously known as the financial district of Amsterdam is becoming more and more residential, with great bars, restaurants, shops and a Thursday market.
The hotel offers 207 room, 6 meeting rooms, fitness facilities, a lively bar and two outdoor sun-terraces overlooking the Zuidas area. In 2024 the restaurant was rebranded to De Japanner Zuid, Amsterdam's very first izakaya concept, drawing inspiration from the traditional Japanese izakaya bars where locals gather to unwind with drinks and snacks after work before starting their long trip back home.
