Our division takes ownership for planning, building, maintaining and operating our global platform. We design, develop and deploy critical technologies including the hardware, software and network infrastructure that provide the technical underpinnings for all of Akamai's products. Our team ensures consistent availability and performance for our customers.

Partner with the best

The Network Support Consultant monitors the partner's eyeball demands and capacity of the Akamai's Network within EMEA. We ensure that we are utilizing our resources to their fullest extent in order to meet customer requirements to keep traffic flowing with best optimal way and ensure value for our various Network Partners in the geography.

As a Network Support Consultant Senior, you will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with cross-functional internal teams, Akamai's Network Partners and ISPs to troubleshoot and resolve network and performance or any related issues with tickets

• Managing escalations from any internal groups in relation to the network partners and deployed resources

• Collaborating with team members and network architects on traffic optimization to identify enhancements and improvements on serving customer traffic

• Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of Internet landscape in the region

• Being able to understand Service Provider's infrastructure to keep good collaboration with various ISP partners

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Demonstrate knowledge of network protocols and implementations, IP routing protocols (BGP), application-level protocols and IP security

• Experience supporting within an account management or customer success role in a technical environment

• Be comfortable with working in a Linux/Unix environment and command line interfaces

• Have open and proactive approach in solving internal/external escalation and identify areas for innovation and improvement

• Be responsible for the assigned projects and issue cases to the completion/closure.

• Experience in Networking, Routing, and Network Infrastructure operations and troubleshooting

• Be fluent in English (speaking and writing)
