This initiative requires significant interaction and involvement with our ecosystem of industry partners.

In order to execute through a multi-faceted TIP programme in Indonesia, Facebookis seeking a Community Manager to work closely with stakeholders across the Indonesian telecom & ICT sector. Specifically, the Community Manager will help to progress the programme of work, and within that remit, identify, coordinate, and lead new initiatives to accelerate organizational change and foster emerging technologies in the field. If you have passion for working with innovative operators, vendors, Government agencies and system integrators that are assisting the industry with organizational transformation and significantly scaling current networks then this maybe a role for you. As the Community Manager for Indonesia, you will work closely with the Operator partners, regional Facebook Connectivity team, OEM, local System Integrators, Universities, Venture Capitalist and startups to execute the creation, sustenance and growth of the TIP ecosystem in Indonesia. In parallel you will work with global OEMs & TIP ecosystem infrastructure teams to align strategies and support the TIP ecosystem in Indonesia.

This is a contract position based in either Singapore and will report directly to TIP?s Global Head of Engagement in London and on a day to day basis be managed by the APAC Connectivity Ecosystem Manager within Facebook.

Responsibilities:

Build the local community and industry alliances in Indonesia, including Service Providers, regulator, academia, system integrators, industry organization with local events, workshops and multi-party meetings.

Catalyse the local start ups for the Telecom stack, including attracting local and foreign VC funds

Lead and organise regular workshop, training and TIP Ecosystem Accelerator Centre (TEAC) event activities to develop and expand the community collaborating on TIP technology

Skills

Requirements:

  • Seven + years of leadership in the IT/Telecommunications industry

  • Knowledge in any of the following areas is a plus: data center networking, private and public cloud hosting, virtualisation, network monitoring and remediation, access networks, transport network, core network, IT/BSS, DevOps, service orchestration and automation.

  • Solid, hands-on, budget management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making and reporting

  • Strong organisational abilities including management of project groups, planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation

  • Prefer to have an exposure to startup ecosystem and the startup business development

  • Strong written and oral communication skills (Bahasa Indonesia and English)
