  • The Sales Manager maintains a close working rapport with professional people, the press, media, staff, clients/guests and companies who are potential, existing and current supporters of the hotel.

  • Various Key Account Managers for both MICE & Travel Agencies

  • Professional people, Potential Customers/Clients

  • Press, Media, Government Officials

  • Potential Clients and Any persons who are clients.

  • AccorHotels’ Sales & Distribution Teams at the hotel level.

  • AccorHotels’ Sales and Reservation Offices.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND MEANS

Planning and Organizing:

Contributes to the strategy and planning activities of the sales functions

  • Assists in drawing up the marketing plan by gathering market intelligence including section on Corporate and Group Segment.

  • Organizes regular visits in accordance with a predetermined plan.

Manage the Sales Responsibilities:

The Sales Manager – Wholesale:

  • Drive performance in Wholesale and Group Segments: Strategize and implement sales plans to elevate revenue from wholesale and group segments. Continuously assess market trends and competitor activities to adapt sales strategies for optimal performance.

  • Manage diverse for all source markets, cultivate strong relationships with clients, customize sales approaches and promotions to align with the preferences and business practices of each source market. Leveraging insights from Luxury & Lifestyle agents will be advantage.

  • Adhere to weekly sales call plan and conduct a minimum of 5 sales calls a day.

  • Pays visits to former, existing, and potential clients in view of entering into contracts with them.

  • Determines and recommends prospective customers by analyzing historical and other statistical information, participation in conducting customer interviews, and preparing customer call analysis reports.

  • Attends weekly sales meetings, for product update and discussion on outstanding matters.

  • Defines precisely guest requirements and ensures that the guest services offered corresponds effectively to their requests.

  • Provides after-sales service and in particular to ensure that the guest complaints are taken seriously and discussed with the respective departments if necessary.

  • Receives in the hotel any important guests whom he/she has approached.

  • Negotiates prices with clients.

  • Confirms verbal proposals in writing and transmits to customer via email/fax.

  • Ensures that all complaints are brought to the Director of Sales for immediate action.

  • Maintains and ensures the smooth running operations of all his/her accounts within the designated zone.

  • Solicit group, individual, banquet and other function business directly and jointly with other through the preparation and executive of action plans.

Manage the daily/weekly/monthly Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Keeps a record on all potential clients and a profile of each of them

  • Prepares a tentative monthly schedule to record all sales and other related activities for the preceding month.

  • Presents a summary of his/her visits to the Director of Sales/Associate Director of Sales on a weekly basis. (Weekly Sales Plan) prior to and after the week is completed.

  • Ensures that the invoicing effectively corresponds to all services agreed upon and rendered.

  • Ensures that all new clients have no negative credit references

  • Records the statistics of his/her sales accounts.

  • Records all daily sales.

  • Submits production reports on his/her list of accounts on a weekly/monthly basis.

  • Utilizes the mobile phone to communicate with sales office for any urgent sales business matters.

Gather and maintain the information relating to commercial and business:

  • Keeps himself/herself well informed about the operations especially in key departments.

  • Sets in conjunction with the Director of Sales / Associate Director of Sales, current rates as charged by the hotel. to the current rates as charged by the hotel, set by the Director of Sales.

  • Closely observes matters pertaining to competition and bring to the attention of Director of Sales. (Sites, prices, services offered on a regular basis.)

  • Promote the hotel as often as possible through presentations, Hotel collateral, media and various resources marketing tools of the hotel.

  • Ensure brand essentials and One rewards standards are met. Drive One Rewards and help to grow loyalty through signing up new members.

Involvement as a Member of the Hotel Leadership Team:

  • The Sales Manager is familiar with the operations and applications of the hotel’s computer and data processing systems.

  • Exercise maximum collaboration with colleagues and customers.

  • At all times to promote a positive image of the hotel in all forms of contact.

  • To develop and foster close and positive support with the public, guests, clients and members of the trade.

REPLACEMENT AND TEMPORARY MISSION

In his/her absence, The Sales Manager may be replaced first by another Sales Manager in the nearest zone appointed by the Director of Sales

The Sales Manager may be called upon to undertake activities outside his/her own area.

Safety, Quality & Environment Responsibilities:

  • Know and applies IHG security and evacuation procedures (in case of fire, etc.)

  • Ensures the safety of the people and property within the office

  • Monitor and oversight of Quality performances of your respective departments and teams following set annual objectives
