About the role

To provide support to the Assembly Supervisor in all areas of the Assembly Department.

What you will be doing

  • Manage one’s time effectively, checking in for daily job assignments and on completion of each job.

  • To read job paperwork and perform required actions as specified in accordance with defined time schedules.

  • Working independently assemble product to drawing using assembly machines, hand tool and

  • power tools as specified.

  • Identify defects, machine or fixture problems and/or quality problems as they arise and resolve them or communicate any unresolved issues to the Supervisor or Shift Leader where necessary.

  • Scrap any bad components using proper procedure and inform Shift Leader/Supervisor.

  • Place finished job in designed location.

  • Produce quality products to ensure that all work adheres to the QS9000 quality system procedures.

  • Clean equipment and work area as required, maintaining good housekeeping policies keeping all traffic areas clear, observing health and safety rules and strong material in designated locations.

  • Any other duties as may be reasonable requested by the Assembly Supervisor

About you

Must have a mechanical engineering aptitude and have good numerate and literate skills.
