Benefits Administrator III Location: Jersey City, NJ Duration: 12 Months Description: Job Summary: Benefits Specialist is responsible for analyzing, designing, and administering the organization's employee benefits programs, including qualified and non-qualified pension benefits. This role involves evaluating the effectiveness of current benefits, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and providing detailed analysis to support decision-making. The Benefits Specialist will work with benefits vendors and providing support to employees. Primary Responsibilities: Process monthly benefits billing Reconcile benefits premium adjustments. Assist with pension coordination and payments. Perform benefits audit, 401(k) retirement saving plan. Assist with annual compliance testing. Gather and analyze benefits enrollment reports weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually. Collaborate and maintain professional communication with internal and external departments. Assist benefits with annual enrollment, Benefits Orientation, and Benefits team projects, etc. Manage reimbursement procedures for Retirement gift program, 25-year program, and Charity fund program. Respond to employees’ benefit inquires. Maintain employee records. Monitor and maintain company intranet system, ServiceNow tickets, Veri beneficial emails. Education: Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or other related discipline Qualifications: 3-5 Years Benefits Administration experience Strong analytical and accounting skills are necessary. Strong background in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and HRIS systems, with knowledge of Oracle/PeopleSoft considered a plus. Knowledge of federal and state regulations including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Worker’s Compensation, Medicare, and Social Security requirements. Ability to work in fast past environment, critical thinking skills, willing to collaborate on a variety of topics. SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) or CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist) certification.
