Cardinal Health BioPharma Sales Lead Generation Specialist - Inside Sales in United States

Job Description

The Sales Lead Generation Specialist is responsible for prospecting, qualifying and generating new sales leads to support the BioPharma business units within our Specialty Solutions division. This individual will be a highly motivated, self-starter able to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including inbound marketing leads, prospect lists, discovery and individual research. A dynamic personality with a drive to reach decision makers is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and accomplish a national lead generation plan, aligned with the business units across the division
  • Generate qualified leads via telephone and mass communication such as email and social media to introduce the Specialty Solutions businesses and solutions
  • Identify prospects who are decision makers and interested in engaging a sales representative to hear a capabilities presentation and learn more about our solutions (via phone or face-to-face)
  • Manage Pardot Lead Queue to determine what leads are sales qualified and should transition to field sales representative, provide regular feedback to Marketing regarding quality of leads, and participate in developing and refining digital targeting strategies
  • Upon lead qualification, Lead Generation Specialist coordinates transition to the field sales rep
  • Conduct continuous market research to help identify new prospects
  • Work with the GM of BioPharma Solutions, business unit VPs and BioPharma sales teams to develop and grow the sales pipeline to consistently meet quarterly targets
  • Document complete and accurate information on all sales activities in Salesforce.com, including activity, contacts, opportunities
  • Capture business intelligence through interaction with prospects
  • Ensure effective internal communication within Sales, Marketing and Commercial Operations
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the industry and our solutions
  • Develop knowledge of competitor’s products, prices and service
  • Drive value beyond expectations every day by helping clients gain insights into their business

Required experience and knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, scientific or clinical focus preferred
  • 1-3 years lead generation and/or inside sales experience, preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed determined goals
  • A proven track record of building relationships
  • Excellent client service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Technical Experience:

  • Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred
