Responsibilities may include front-room and back-room core functions such as cashiering; customer service; sales floor merchandising; product ordering; truck loading/unloading; merchandise receiving, processing, pricing, and stocking.
May also include specialized administrative functions such as: advertising, promotions, and special sales events; bookkeeping; technology support and administration; inventory management; special orders or selling programs; and various related activities.
Cashiering.
Operates, balances, and reconciles cash register.
Verifies current/valid identification cards.
Place product orders for employees and eligible family members.
Receives, stocks, cleans, sorts, and re-tickets products for assigned department/product lines.
Answers customer questions, resolves complaints, and provides product information.
Loads and unloads trucks, receives merchandise, processes documents, prices, tickets, stores, or delivers merchandise to selling location.
Investigate and reconcile receiving discrepancies.
Affixes special instructions or explanations on goods.
Ensures product freshness by performing FIFO (First In First Out) for all products.
Contact Truck Fleet to coordinate the delivery or return of trailers. Completes shipping request documentation.
Cleans and organizes stockroom, rearranges store fixtures and displays, and responds to requests to deliver merchandise from the stockroom to the selling floor or carry merchandise to customer vehicles or pickup areas.
Conducts item counts and physical inventories.
Records accounting transactions, including balancing, recording, reconciling, and reporting of governmental accounts.
Bank runs for store deposits, petty cash, and cashier cash drawers.
Ordering/Inventory
Orders products to maintain inventory levels for Store or Employee Programs.
Performs inventory transaction maintenance, reporting, and research, including inventory integrity, management of excess, obsolete, and close-dated inventory; overages, shortages, and inventory discrepancies; reporting, invoicing, and offsetting appropriate accounts.
Places remote delivery customer product order requests.
