Clinical Instructor of Neurological Surgery (Practitioner) – Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

The Department of Neurological Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of USC seeks a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for its neurosurgical practice at Keck Medical Center of USC.

The candidate will provide clinical care to patients undergoing cranial neurosurgery at Keck Hospital of USC. The physician assistant or nurse practitioner will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of physicians and nurses; training and experience in cranial neurosurgery procedures is highly preferred. Candidates must have a current California license for physician assistant and national commission on certification of physician assistant (NCCPA), or a current California nurse practitioner license and adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner board certification. The position offers a competitive salary with excellent university benefits, and an academic appointment of Clinical Instructor of Neurological Surgery (Practitioner) at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.

The practice includes complex cranial procedures where highly personalized care for patients is required. The candidate should enjoy a reasonable level of independence and be experienced in outpatient care of patients suffering from brain tumors and vascular lesions. Attention to details, superior communication skills, and a highly dedicated personality are requirements.

The annual base salary range for this position is $161,561-$204,918.
