POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the IT Manager you will join the CAE Core IT Team and will be primarily responsible for the support and enhancement of our Flight Training Management applications dedicated to the Flight Training Organization group. You will have the opportunity to train and support users as the System Expert in flight training management, aircraft and simulator maintenance management and associated applications.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with, train and support staff and students at our global flight academies.

  • Ensure application(s) standardized use across the global network.

  • Coordinate with various teams to ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain and support training progress monitoring processes.

  • Incident management including bugs and fixes.

  • Test and coordinate application(s) releases with key global personnel.

  • Product(s) improvement review and enhancement.

  • Provide end-user support across the organization, including ad-hoc out of hours’ support due to 24/7 nature of the business

  • Collaborate with other IT teams located worldwide in all time-zones

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSThe ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • A bachelor’s degree or relevant equivalent experience

  • Aviation knowledge and/or experience, minimum 3 years

  • E.g. Dispatching, training records, scheduling, currencies, maintenance, aircraft types

  • Customer service experience

  • Ability to work under pressure and high attention to details

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills using logic and search engines

  • Self-motivated and able to think on one’s feet unsupervised

  • Self-starter and collaborative teammate

  • Experienced multi-browser, IOS, and Microsoft 365 user

  • Knowledge of apps such as TalonETA and Talon RMS, Flightlogger, Flight Radar, FlightPro, Pelesys, Foreflight is considered an asset or nice to have.

  • Min. 5 years working in a Global IT environment

  • Ability to work on your own as well as a part of the team, out of hours (overnight /weekends when applicable
