We seek an enthusiastic Oracle DBA to join us in supporting IT consulting projects, specifically focusing on the US Air Force's Keystone Decision Support System (KDSS) & Command Management System (CMS).

Job Profile Summary:

ManTech’a Digital Transformation Consulting Division (DTCD) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. You will play a key role in delivering innovative IT consulting solutions for our Federal Government clients.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Database Management:

  • Administer, create, and maintain Oracle databases for Development, Test, Pre-Production/Integration, and Production environments

  • Tune database performance and monitor database logs.

  • Install database software, patches, and associated software patches

  • Manage database backups and disaster recovery plans

  • Coordinate with application, storage, systems, and web administration teams

  • Allocate table spaces and manage user accounts for database support

Security & Compliance:

  • Secure the database environment, including application of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)

  • Implement cybersecurity requirements from CYBERCOM and participate in audits

  • Manage privileged database access and ensure password security

Support & Problem Resolution:

  • Provide after-hours support for incidents and Advanced Service Requests (ASIs)

  • Assist vendors in troubleshooting database problems

  • Perform root cause analysis to resolve database issues

  • Manage and update assigned tickets and provide information for data calls

  • Document all changes and obtain necessary approvals

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Analyze database usage and project data capacity

  • Update technical leads and management on incident status

  • Work with service desk personnel and coordinate with other support entities

  • Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of freeware/shareware used within the application

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator

  • DoD 8140.03 and AFMAN17-1303 (or subsequent versions) certification

  • Proven experience in administering databases across development, test, and production environments

  • Strong understanding of database security principles and best practices

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with database performance tuning tools and techniques

  • Experience with database automation scripting

  • Knowledge of financial management systems and processes

  • Experience working in a Federal Government environment

  • Experience with cloud-based deployments (e.g., AWS, Azure)

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • US citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust

The projected compensation range for this position is $90,200-$149,600. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
