New York University PART TIME NON-EXEMPT ASSISTANT RESEARCH SCIENTIST in United States

A part-time associate research scientist position is available in the Center for Quantum Information Physics under the direction of Professor Andrei Vrajitoarea in the Department of Physics at New York University. The successful candidate will participate in the research activities of the lab with graduate and undergraduate student.

This opportunity provides a transition to career independence through the development of professional skills; supervision by a senior scientist incorporating an individual development plan in support of training goals and those of faculty mentor.

This position will be focused on working with cryogenic systems and microwave hardware for quantum computing research. The work will specifically involve participating in: building microwave control electronics, programming FPGAs using Python, assembling a dilution refrigerator measurement system, simulating and designing superconducting microwave circuits

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $18.00/hr - $26.00/hr. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer .
