Join our healthcare team in providing a safe environment for care delivery with flexible per diem, part time and full time scheduling are being considered. This unique role offers a glimpse into healthcare careers while assisting our staff and patients.

Position Summary:

  • Provide continuous visual observation of non-violent patients that require constant supervision for safety purposes.

  • Assist with a wide variety of routine duties to support various functions of care delivery and services.

  • Assist with other assignments as directed by the Administrative Coordinator.

  • If needed, may assist patients under the direct supervision of a nurse.

Education, Training, Experience, Certification and Licensure:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills required. Must be customer service orientated.

  • Prior patient care/handling experience and an understanding of department related terminology preferred.

  • Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.

  • Completes population specific competency annually on populations served as identified in scope of care and service. Maintain BLS/CPR certification and First Aid training.

  • Knowledge of office equipment and supplies.

Physical Demands:

  • Medium work: must be able to lift 25 pounds frequently; occasionally lifting maximum of 50 pounds. Will require ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, squat and reach.

  • All services, medical staff, patients, visitors, and various regulatory and professional agencies.

Supervised By:

  • Team Leader, Clinical Coordinator, Unit Manager, and Clinical Services/Nursing Administration.
