FUNCTIONAL EXPERTISE
• Strong understanding of strategic sourcing and category management processes
• Develop category strategies with minimal guidance from category manager
• Engage with customer’s business stakeholders throughout the category management process
• Perform market research on supplier capabilities, category trends & price benchmarking and present insights to stakeholders
• Possess expertise and experience across Indirect/Direct categories. Expertise in a specific category will be preferred
• Prepare sourcing project specific plans on MS-Excel, MS-Projects or other similar tools
• Lead complex sourcing projects across specific Direct & Indirect categories
• Co-ordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements for sourcing execution
• Independently perform sourcing activities like requirement gathering, setting up RFP & Auctions in various procurement tools, co-ordination with suppliers, supplier proposal comparative statements
• Manage complex strategic sourcing projects independently
• Guide stakeholders on auction strategies if required
• Negotiate with suppliers for low value purchases through Tail Spend Management programs
• Ensure team meets targets agreed with customers like savings, on-time execution, accuracy, etc
• Perform contract drafting activities based on templates. Assist stakeholders in red-lining activities
• Perform SRM activities like supplier financial ratings, supplier profiling, evaluations, SWOT analysis, segmentation, etc
• Create reports & dashboards for procurement leadership
