V2X is looking for a Reliability Engineer to join our team. This position will support our maintenance contract with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), performing analysis of preventive and corrective maintenance on airport checkpoint security screening equipment. The goal of this position is to increase overall uptime and availability of the TSA’s screening equipment, reducing the number of failures and downtime.

Responsibilities

Major Job Activities:

  • Focus on identifying and solving problems related to the reliability of TSA security screening checkpoint equipment, including analyzing failure data to identify patterns and trends, conducting root causes analysis, and developing and implementing new procedures and processes.

  • Analyzing data from our Maximo computerized maintenance systems.

  • Collaborating with other staff and subcontractors to collect field data, develop corrective action plans, and implement updated processes.

    Working Environment:

    It is estimated that 10% travel will be required for this role. Remaining work will be remote / home-based.

Qualifications

Education / Certifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field, such as mechanical, industrial, or electrical engineering, is required.

    Minimum (Required) Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant reliability engineering experience.

  • Hands-on experience with statistical software, failure analysis methods, and predictive maintenance tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with expertise in using various diagnostic tools.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner, as well as the ability to collaborate with others.

  • Active TSA suitability clearance or ability to obtain TSA suitability clearance through an in-depth background check (TSA eQIP).

    Preferred Qualification:

  • Relevant industry certifications such as Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) by the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
