Advance Local Sales Development Representative in United States

As an Advance Local Sales Development Representative , you will be part of a dynamic sales team driving advertising revenue for one of the country's largest privately-owned media companies. Your sales success will come from new business development efforts, as well as client growth, through our industry-leading digital and print advertising products. You'll be supported by our leadership team, our interactive sales and product training program, and our commitment to provide resources for your successful sales career.
This position will provide support to both NJ Advance Media and Staten Island Advance and requires reliable transportation to meet with customers, as well as travel to our Woodbridge, NJ or Staten Island, NY offices at least once per week.
Compensation for this position is comprised of a base salary range plus incentive compensation. The base salary range is $45,000 - $55,000 per year. Additional incentives bring total potential compensation to $70,000 - $80,000.
What you'll be doing:
Generate leads and identify new business opportunities for sales account executives through cold calling, networking, marketing, referrals, and mining lead databases
Conduct detailed research on identified opportunities to qualify potential prospects
Maintain detailed notes on CRM software platforms, and ensure documentation is constantly updated with current prospect and client information
Serve as a marketing consultant by providing industry insights through up-to-date knowledge of industry trends
Build relationships and partnerships with prospective clients through networking
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
High school diploma or a minimum of 1 year of work experience with a desire to pursue a career in Sales
Passion for digital advertising
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Ability to multi-task, handle pressure, and work under deadlines
Solid PC skills including proficiency with MS Office suite, including PowerPoint and Excel
Prior sales experience and knowledge of industry is a plus
CRM sales management software experience with a leading platform (SalesForce preferable) is a plus
