Tri-County Action Program Outreach Specialist in Waite Park, Minnesota
Tri-CAP is looking for a passionate, energetic, committed individual to join Tri-CAP. This person will engage in activities to increase access to Tri-CAP programs and services through building community partnerships, outreach events and linkages to other agencies. This position will also assist in application assistance, conduct community presentations, work with staff in all departments to assist with outreach activities. Primary responsibilities of this full-time position will include: *Work with other Tri-CAP staff and community providers for effective coordination of program services and community resources through referrals. *Establish and maintain effective referral network and community linkages. *Develop strong community partnerships to increase visibility for Tri-CAP throughout service area and increase access to services. *Provide advocacy with other resources and agencies on behalf of customer *Implement outreach to educate the public about available resources such as SNAP benefits, Energy Assistance, Affordable Connectivity, Tax credits, etc. *Implement outreach to specifically market volunteer opportunities for the agency; including the volunteer driver program, tax assistance program, etc. *Initiate and conduct speaking engagements with community service organizations, other partners and businesses. *Utilize agency-owned vehicle for outreach events and activities throughout the service area. *Provide support to Volunteer Driver program by providing occasional rides with agency-owned vehicles.
