POSITION: Accountant
Summary:

As a key member of the Accounting team, the Accountant position is responsible for performing a variety of functions relating to general ledger, investment securities, reconciliations, financial reporting and FDICIA control review and testing.
Key Result Areas:
Responsible for reconcilement of assigned General Ledger accounts and subsequent follow-up of all items to ensure timely resolution, for the bank and subsidiary companies.
Responsible for the preparation of daily and monthly journal entries to record the Bank and subsidiary's activity.
Collect and prepare quarterly charge-off reporting information.
Perform FDICIA testing and Financial Reporting Internal Controls monitoring according to regulatory guidance.
Collaborate with Accounting Manager on researching income, expense and budget variances as assigned.
Assist in the preparation of federal and state regulatory reports, processing of investment activity, and preparation of fixed assets and prepaid items, as needed.
Act as backup to accounts payable for CSB and subsidiary companies.
Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with colleagues and customers across the Bank.
Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree, Accounting preferred, or 2 years of work experience in a banking or financial services environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel including the use of complex formulas.
Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, preferred.
Strong initiative, oral communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
Ability to pay close attention to detail, work independently.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
