Description

We are actively seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to strengthen our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for all purchasing activities and the overall management of our supply chain logistics. This is a contract to hire opportunity.   • Supervising the creation and approval process of purchases for goods and services.

  • Evaluating and adjusting PAR levels as necessary.

  • Monitoring and tracking overall weekly expenditures.

  • Managing the functions and services of our Distribution & Logistics department.

  • Implementing and maintaining inventory control procedures.

  • Acting as a liaison and consultant on operations, policies, procedures, and services.

  • Ensuring the safety and maintenance of equipment and personnel.

  • Liaising with Department Managers regarding their supply requirements.

  • Directing quality control functions for materials distribution and effectively coordinating cost containment programs with Buyers.

  • Planning, developing, and implementing goals, objectives, and services consistent with the strategic plans of the organization.

    Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills needed for effective collaboration and negotiation.

  • Proficiency in processing invoices and handling financial documentation.

  • Broad knowledge and understanding of logistics and supply chain management.

  • Proven experience in inventory control and management.

  • Must have hands-on experience in purchasing management, including materials selection and vendor negotiation.

  • Proven expertise in managing purchasing activities.

  • Knowledge of supply chain logistics to plan and coordinate the efficient movement of goods.

  • The ideal applicant should have a solid understanding of purchasing materials and how they impact the production process.
