LifePoint Health Clinical Technician/CNA - Emergency Services - FT Eves in Warrenton, Virginia
/Must have previous ED or ICU experience./
Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care and clerical/administrative activities.
- Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
- Performs designated sterile and aseptic procedures using proper technique (i.e., venipuncture and phlebotomy, IV insertions, and foley insertions). Maintains sterile field while handling instruments during procedures.
- Performs bladder scanning, IV starts, blood draws, assist with 2-person foley insertion, application of external urinary devices, and ECG.

Minimum Education:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Required Skills:
Certifications Required:
Basic Life Support (BLS) (may obtain week of orientation)
Current VA State CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) License, or EMT B or C
Minimum Work Experience:
Required: 2 years of experience as a Certified Nurse Assistant or EMT for ED, ICU.
