Sales Support, Representative

A sales support representative provides customer support by assisting with sales procedures. They help with sales-related problems, enter new orders, track orders, investigate shipping issues and manage customer accounts.

35% Provide Product/Pricing Assistance/Order Management

  • Knowledgeable with Marvin and Integrity product features and benefits

  • Knowledgeable in using OMS (Order Management System)

  • Knowledgeable in processing of “on behalf of” orders, quotes

  • Knowledgeable and helpful when assisting dealers/distributors with entry methods and special pricing

  • Understands the customer service process, warranties and processing of field service orders

  • Ability to process Quick Hit Assistance Request (AR’s) without forwarding

  • Ability to resolve some mulling and structural questions

  • Knowledgeable of order the order flow process: from customer through manufacturing to shipping

  • Manage the order holds appropriately to expedite through production

  • Knowledgeable of shipping practices at each manufacturing location

  • Ability to manage all types of order change requests and communicate order change costs to the customer

30% Customer Interaction, Communication and Problem Solving

  • Knows how to engage and make a connection with all types of customers

  • Provides professional, timely and courteous communication

  • Articulates well in verbal and written communication, can compose professionally written documents (letters and emails) with accurate spelling and punctuation

  • Ability to work in a regional team to provide good coverage and support for dealers/distributors

  • Learn to build and utilize key relationships with other departments and functional areas

  • Considers company liability when making decisions

  • Learn the art of problem solving and negotiation

  • Utilize opportunities to interact with customers face to face: meals with guest, and customer visits

25% Systems Knowledge

  • Very knowledgeable of Marvin systems: ICIM, Salesforce, OMS, Siebel, On-line Docs, Print Book Viewer and Microsoft Office Programs

  • Very knowledgeable in accessing information through Knowledge Management to find solutions for customer inquires

  • Well trained in utilizing information in Print Book Viewer to assist customers in identifying parts and pieces

  • Knowledgeable of the On-Line Docs program and frequently coaches customers on usage

  • Knowledgeable in accessing and understanding shipping information in Marvin Order Status(MOS)

  • Utilizes systems and other written material for ongoing self-learning
