Job Description
As a Data Architect, you will play a pivotal role in providing unified data and analytics capabilities across P&G's IT landscape to drive continuous evolution of IT systems' operational excellence and prevent business disruptions. Your responsibilities will include:
Modernize P&G's IT Data Ecosystem:
Leading data discovery efforts to understand existing data sources, structures, and relationships.
Defining data topology and architecture, including data lakes, data warehouses, and data marts.
Applying industry standards and best practices to ensure data consistency, integrity, and quality.
Creating data models and source-to-target maps to guide data integration and transformation processes.
Democratize IT Data for Self-Serve Analytics:
Designing and implementing self-serve analytics platforms, tools, and frameworks that empower users to independently access and analyze IT data for insights and decision-making.
Developing data catalogs and metadata management systems to enable data discovery and understanding.
Providing guidance and training to enable users to leverage self-serve analytics capabilities effectively.
Driving a data-driven culture across the organization by promoting data literacy and data-driven decision-making.
Establish Foundations for Automated IT Operations Management:
Designing and implementing data foundations to support automated IT operations management, including AI-driven processes ( monitoring and alerting mechanisms to proactively identify and resolve potential IT system issues and anomalies, optimize IT system performance, prevent disruptions, and enable predictive maintenance)
Collaborating with IT operations teams to identify areas for automation and developing data-driven solutions to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
Conducting workshops and training sessions to educate on data architecture best practices, standards, and methodologies, and influence decision-making processes by providing data-driven insights and recommendations on data architecture-related matters.
Govern Application of Data Architecture Standards:
Collaborating closely with data engineers to ensure the application of data architecture standards and best practices in data engineering projects.
Providing guidance and oversight to data engineers to ensure adherence to data architecture principles and guidelines.
Reviewing and approving data engineering designs and solutions to ensure alignment with data architecture standards.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience as a Data Architect, with a focus on modernizing data ecosystems, democratizing data, and enabling automated operations management.
Strong expertise in data architecture principles, practices, and methodologies.
Experience in data discovery, data topology definition, and data standards application.
Proficiency in creating data models and source-to-target maps.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred:
Certification in data management/ data architecture (DAMA).
Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) frameworks and practices.
Familiarity with industry-leading data architecture tools, such as ERWIN Data Modeler and ERWIN Data Intelligence.
