Stryker Warehouse Operations Manager in Warsaw, Poland

Key responsibility:

Secure day to day:

  • Managing the daily operation of the warehouse and distribution department in order to ensure required service levels

  • Ensuring compliance with local regulations regarding health & safety, regulatory and hazardous materials, as well as internal policies and procedures

  • Developing and maintaining Warehouse SOP's in line with ISO13485 and ISO14001

  • Ensuring all staff is appropriately trained on all aspects applicable to run a compliant and safe operation

  • Supporting the development of -and maintaining Service Level Agreements, with our businesses and customers

  • Proactively respond, with a sense of urgency, analyze and resolve business and customer issues;

  • Setting yearly departmental budget and monthly projections

  • Achieving the department's yearly financial objectives, through planning, directing, controlling, implementing, evaluating, monitoring and forecasting as needed to achieve budgets

Strengthening the base (Lead - Engage - Lean):

  • Driving a constant focus on employee engagement and development by mentoring and training to ensure a culture in which employees are developed and talent is being retained

  • Closely work together with other departments to pursue an overall cost effective and efficient integrated supply chain

New Business Opportunities:

  • Enabling an operation which is capable to quickly adapt to major changes requested by our external and internal customers and / or changes in product mix

  • Proactively support business growth, new products & services, mergers & acquisitions

Key Requirements:

  • Higher education or equivalent work experience, preferred TSL, Economics, Engineering

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in leading people and related warehouse operations, experience in healthcare sector (medical, pharma) will be an advantage

  • Fluent in Polish and English (both verbal and written)

  • Strong leadership profile, working close to people, open for inputs, influencer and people developer

  • High level of process optimization capabilities, supported by concrete achievements or projects accomplished

  • Operational ability to bring together the departmental goal achievement and good stakeholder relationship is required

  • Good command of IT solutions supporting warehousing and operations (WMS as example), practical knowledge of JD Edwards ERP software will be seen as high advantage for this role

  • Experience in the Medical Devices industry (ISO13485) will be an advantage

  • Proven track record in LEAN / 6 Sigma; relevant education preferred (green or black belt)

  • High sense of urgency and ability to find solutions under time restriction
