Google Child Safety Emerging Risk Analyst, Trust and Safety in Washington, District Of Columbia

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 4 years of experience in operations management working in policy compliance, content analysis, regulatory response, or Trust and Safety.

  • Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience using established frameworks such as Six Sigma to drive process improvement, process design, process management, and change management.

  • Familiarity with Google products, infrastructure, and types of online abuse, content policy and reviewing online content.

  • Ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels.

  • Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify key questions, critically assess data and generate data-driven insights and impact.

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. As a Child Safety Emerging Risk Analyst within the Trust and Safety team, you will be part of a global team responsible for ensuring balanced, privacy-preserving detection of content and signals across the spectrum of online child abuse. You will partner with specialist operational teams within Trust and Safety (T&S) as well as Legal, Policy, Product, and Engineering. You will design and drive the implementation of sustainable solutions to combat abuse and build user trust in our products in the Child Safety space.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $108,000-$158,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Oversee management of regulatory responses, including external and internal audits in partnership with regulatory readiness and compliance teams.

  • Understand core processes, workflows, and systems to align global business needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and integrate intake processes and other strategic initiatives.

  • Lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders to enhance abuse detection systems and mitigate user harm and effectively build relationships and leverage communication skills to manage diverse stakeholders.

  • Coordinate, collaborate, and establish the priority of emerging risks across functions and teams within Trust and Safety, as well as cross-functional teams such as Legal, Compliance, Policy, Product, and Engineering.

  • Develop strategic partnerships, conduct risk assessments, and implement tailored solutions for critical areas of child safety.
