Job Description:

Accenture Federal Services has an immediate hiring need for a Data Engineer in their National Security Practice. In this role you will define the data requirements and structure for the application. Model and design the application data structure, storage and integration.

Responsibilities:

If you live and breathe data and want to apply your considerable ETL skills to preparing data in ways that truly address mission requirements without compromise, this is the role for you. Our data is the engine that accelerates analytics for our production software system that supports our nations warfighters. You will design and automate state of the art data repositories and ETL pipelines that span virtual environments and government cloud solutions. You must have an eye for improvement of the security, usability, performance, maintainability, and scalability of the existing environment. You must have a desire to learn something new every day and to mentor and to grow the technical capabilities of the team. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, detail-oriented, must be comfortable with ever-changing requirements and priorities, and able to see the big picture. This role interacts with all other team members to include the DevSecOps, Software Development, Test and User Engagement teams, as well as the Customer.  Creation of documentation and supporting training for the analytic environment is another aspect of the role.

Here's what you need:

  • Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in data engineering roles

  • Experience with modern database technologies

  • Skilled in scripting with one or more languages (Java Script, Java, Python, etc.)

  • Familiarity with ETL processes for data normalization, improving data quality and accessibility.

  • Capable of optimizing data pipelines in cloud environment to ensure efficient and reliable data processing

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience architecting solutions on AWS

  • Experience with ElasticSearch & Kibana

  • Experience with MongoDB or equivalent

  • Experience with Apache NiFi

  • Interest or experience with NLP is a plus.

  • Experience with Linux/Windows in cloud environments

Security Clearance:

  • Active TS/SCI US Government security clearance is required

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia . The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia is:

$97,300—$196,500 USD
