ARAMARK Maintenance Technician - Samsung Washington DC in Washington, District Of Columbia

Job Description

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a variety of work including the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds in assigned area(s). Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Secondary point of contact to client/site occupants, liaison to property manager and sub-contracted services and vendors

  • Assist the Maintenance Lead in oversight/management of direct reports and/or sub-contracted service workers to include/not limited to: maintenance worker(s), day porter(s), A/V tech(s), IT

  • Assist Site Lead in maintaining/improving overall appearance and operation of facility

  • Secondary liaison to building management/security for all service calls, systems tests

  • Coordinate off-hours utilities for business needs

  • Oversight of day-time porter staff that responsible for light cleaning (dishes, coffee machines, conference rooms after events etc.)

  • Complete small/medium scope repair/maintenance activities within Samsung?s premises in accordance with building rules and regulations (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, AV, Signage, IT).

  • Coordinate large in scope repair/maintenance activities.

  • Coordinate with relevant Samsung team and building provided cleaning services for post-event site maintenance

  • Submit required paperwork to building management to allow vendor access

  • Responsible for control of execution of work and follow-up for quality assurance

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 yrs. experience as a Maintenance Tech., Lead Mech., Maintenance Sup., or equivalent role

  • Strong interpersonal/communication/customer service skills and ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical individuals.

  • Ability to read schematics/blueprints and/or technical manuals.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn maintenance skills.

  • Ability to complete small/medium scope repair and maintenance activities.

  • Demonstrated skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.

  • Ability to negotiate machine custody and service schedules.

  • Skills in using predictive maintenance techniques and root cause analysis of equipment failures.

  • Ability to gather data, information, prepare reports.
