Planet Technologies Power Platform Architect in Washington, District Of Columbia
Planet Technologies, the Nation’s leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as Power Platform Architect. In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that make a difference for our country.
This role will architect Power Platform, cloud-based solutions and work directly with the customer as the subject matter expert and advisor to design and modernize business applications. This role would serve as the technical expert on executive-level projects and assist in the creation of Planet’s Power Platform Center of Excellence for a specific customer. They will provide technical and business explanations and justifications for architectural, design, and coding approaches.
Responsibilities
This Power Platform expert will be the technical team lead for the project to implement, support, and enhance custom applications using Microsoft Power Platform.
Develop Power Platform solutions (out of the box product features, custom development and/or use of third-party tools) for business needs
Utilize best practices in managing the administration and security of the Power Platform – Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dynamics 365.
Utilize connectors, leverage the AI Builder, design Power BI dashboards, build canvas apps, build Power Apps portals, and leverage Power Automate to create business process flows.
Provide technical direction to a team of 3-5 Power Platform Developers.
Skills Required
At least 10 years of total IT experience performing complex application development projects on the Microsoft stack working closely with cross-functional team members in an Agile Development environment.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or business administration or equivalent work experience.
At least 5 years of hands-on development experience with Power Platform.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure Security including Azure Network Security Groups, Azure Front Door, Azure Private Endpoints, Azure Virtual Networks, Azure Storage Accounts.
Hands-on experience architecting solutions that involve Power Platform customization to include server-side code, custom business logic, integration modules, workflow assemblies and plug-ins.
In-depth knowledge of Power BI and Power Apps
Experience with Microsoft products or development technologies including JavaScript, .NET, HTML5 and JQuery.
Ability to present ideas and solutions in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
Ability to organize information in a logical and consistent fashion.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent client-facing written and oral communications skills.
Experience working in an Agile with Scrum environment.
Essentials
Clearance: Active Top Secret required
On Site: Must be able to work 2 days per week in Washington, DC
