Meta Trust and Safety Technical Program Manager in Washington, District Of Columbia

Summary:

The Trust and Safety Technical Programs team in Meta’s Legal organization is looking for an experienced technical program manager with a strong organizational background who is able develop and execute internal program strategy balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders. This position requires the ability to build expertise across a diverse set of focuses, develop plans with ecosystem partners, identify technical or program gaps and opportunities, and drive execution through influence or direct intervention.The candidate will exhibit strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams, and a rigorous, analytical and strategic approach to problem solving. They will be responsible for evaluating and defining specific technology integrations and efficiencies within Meta’s Legal department and with Trust & Safety partners tied to new product launches across the Family of Apps. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across complicated, often distributed, product, operational and legal teams, and systems. They will be comfortable deep diving into new product functionality to evaluate and understand the impact to existing policies and systems. They will also have experience managing and de-conflicting executive demands in a high demand and tight timeline environment. This work will be accomplished by working closely with legal SMEs, engineering teams, third party vendors, teammates, and cross-functional partners. Lastly, the candidate should have familiarity with or be willing to work on the intersection of tech, legal, compliance, and government matters. This is a full-time position.

Trust and Safety Technical Program Manager Responsibilities:

  1. Drive the new product program vision for our organization’s mission to ensure protection of user privacy and safety.

  2. Identify opportunities and disclosure impacts including new or changes to existing products across the family of applications.

  3. Builds consensus around roadmaps and how to evaluate success by managing the roadmap through tough tactical prioritization decisions while helping the organization think long-term. Build trust with stakeholders by maintaining an understandable, accurate roadmap and by knowing the customer and the technology.

  4. Collaborate across teams and levels by serving in the critical role in creating alignment between engineering teams and stakeholders.

  5. Define and track program success through criteria and metrics.

  6. Display strong leadership, organizational and execution skills in engagements across the entire organization & externally.

  7. Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree

  2. 8+ years of technical program management or product management experience.

  3. Leading complex cross-functional programs that focus on process, policy, and system updates.

  4. Leading technical programs and projects from ideation to completion.

  5. Experience operating autonomously across a broad problem space, demonstrating critical thinking, and thought leadership.

  1. BS/MS in a technology related area of study.

  2. Previous experience in Trust & Safety, privacy, legal, or security related fields.

  3. Experience weighing business requirements and priorities to produce project plans and estimates.

  4. Experience leading enterprise-wide engagements.

  5. Experience obtaining and maintaining a government NDA or clearance.

Public Compensation:

$157,000/year to $218,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
