job summary:

One of our clients is seeking a Hardware Engineer to join their growing team!

You will design, develop, and test new electronics products to support the refrigeration and comfort cooling business unit. Manage new products through the new product development process and resolve field & production issues with existing products.

Scope/Supervision and Interaction: Interfaces with Product Management, Supply Chain and Quality Departments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and test electronic circuits for new products and revisions of existing products

  • Create detailed documentation for new products

  • Manage and support product qualification testing

  • Manage product compliance testing at external laboratories and analyze results

  • Supervise board layouts and manage Bill of Materials

  • Find and approve alternate components

  • Develop test fixturing and procedures for manufacturing testing

  • Provide general Engineering support to other departments

Qualifications:

  • Experience with electronics lab test equipment (oscilloscope, function generator, multimeter, etc.)

  • Proven track record of electronics design & development

  • Ability to solder & rework SMD components under a microscope

  • Knowledge of embedded programming in C / C++ Excellent communication and writing skills

  • Quick learner and able to balance multiple tasks

  • Experience with PCB CAD tools (Candence Allegro & OrCAD preferred)

  • Understanding of principles of refrigeration a plus

  • Experience with UL 60730 family of standards a plus

  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering
