WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Inspects materials and products such as Pierce Form nuts and studs for conformance to specifications. Loads, unloads, packages, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties.

  • Where applicable, sets up machines in work group
  • Operates machines in work group
  • Keeps accurate records, forms, charts, inspection forms, SPC sheets as required
  • Detects and reports all faulty materials, machine, or equipment to management
  • Assists in documenting all operational procedures and work instructions. Ensures procedures are accurate and up to date
  • As necessary, assists other group members in their work
  • Maintains workplace in a neat and orderly condition
  • Follows correct safety practices and observes all safety regulations all duties
  • Daily sign off employee log on/log off records within the K-Lite labor recording system
  • Performs other duties, as required
  • Understands department procedures
  • Performs Layered assessments as required for quality and safety
  • Ensures quality product is produced and encourages quality before quantity in all aspects of the job
  • Ensures all materials are conserved and recycled in their areas of responsibility
  • Reports all spills immediately to management
  • Ensures materials are disposed of properly

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos and to write simple correspondence

Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
