Marine Services is on the lookout for a visionary and results-oriented Director of Sales to take charge of our dynamic sales team and spearhead strategic growth initiatives. This pivotal role requires an exceptional leader who can develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies, optimize operations, and foster collaboration across departments. As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for setting and achieving sales goals, nurturing customer relationships, and ensuring the alignment of our sales efforts with the organization's growth objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies that align with the organization's growth objectives and market dynamics.

  • Implement efficient inventory control measures to achieve high inventory turnover, maintaining a consistently refreshed product inventory.

  • Conduct regular dealership visits to assess product displays, pricing accuracy, product quality, and enhance the overall customer experience.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional business units and leaders to identify process improvements, share best practices, and drive operational efficiency.

  • Coach, mentor, and provide training to the sales team, enabling them to execute sales event strategies aligned with broader marketing and sales efforts.

  • Lead and oversee the planning and execution of diverse sales-related events, including Boat Shows, community engagement initiatives, and in-store activities.

  • Develop and implement pricing strategies and promotions that drive sales while ensuring profitability and maintaining competitive positioning.

  • Oversee day-to-day sales operations, promoting efficiency, teamwork, and cross-departmental collaboration.

  • Provide effective supervision and constructive feedback to staff across different departments to foster consistent performance improvement.

  • Optimize customer support processes to elevate customer satisfaction, resolve issues promptly, and reinforce a positive brand image.

  • Regularly review financial data and adjust sales budgets as needed to achieve positive financial outcomes.

  • Formulate, revise, and implement policies that enhance sales operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry best practices.

  • Cultivate and manage relationships and agreements with external partners and vendors to bolster sales initiatives.

  • Evaluate overall sales performance through meticulous data collection, analysis, and interpretation, guiding data-driven decisions.

  • Ensure the company operates within legal boundaries, adhering to established regulations and ethical standards.

  • Develop and administer production-based compensation plans, incentivizing the sales team for maximum productivity and growth.

  • Oversee the preparation and timely release of payroll commissions to HR for disbursement.

  • Collaborate with other management team members and business units to address interdepartmental needs, support cross-functional initiatives, and achieve organizational goals.

  • Lead the end-to-end process of recruitment, training, supervision, and performance appraisal for the sales team.

  • Enforce compliance with critical business systems, such as CRM and DMS, ensuring accurate data tracking and performance metrics.

  • Remain agile and responsive to additional tasks and requests, adapting to the evolving needs of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).

  • Proven experience in senior sales management, with a track record of driving sales growth within the Marine Industry.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.

  • Proficiency in CRM, DMS, and other relevant business systems.

  • In-depth knowledge of boat inventory management principles and sales techniques.

  • Familiarity with industry regulations, compliance standards, and best practices.

  • Results-driven mindset with a history of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments, lead teams, and foster innovation.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
