Overview of the role:
This internal sales role is responsible for supporting the client facing Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), Bank Trust and Private Wealth Teams. Reporting into the Strategic Relationship Management team, the primary responsibility is to support, prospect, develop relationships and conduct research to support the team and client relationships. The role requires accountability to the RIA Sales Consultants who cover this focused and specialized RIA, Bank Trust & Private Wealth Landscape.
Responsibilities of the role:
Identify and profile leading advisors through calling efforts, mail/email campaigns, and referrals
Proactively identify marketing opportunities based on industry trends, current market environment and competitive advantages
Cultivate and manage client relationships by responding to client inquiries, providing ongoing communication with clients/prospects, and managing the client/prospects throughout the sales cycle, resulting in closed business
Develop and strengthen relationships with key advisors and market centers of influence
Deliver "the best of the firm" to key advisors, through value-add tools/support, product information and updates, and unique Hartford Funds market insights
Partner with RIA Sales Team to conduct activities including advisor scheduling, call-backs, and lead generation
Assist with due-diligence process with sponsor firms in collaboration with the appropriate affiliate portfolio management and research team members
Articulate investment strategy and performance expectations at individual portfolio level
Serve as an expert resource across our investment platform, our money management capabilities, and the markets
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Self-starter who has a strong desire to succeed and to achieve goals in a consistent and timely manner
Driven and goal-oriented, focused on success
Demonstrated abilities in time management, including, managing multiple projects and meeting strict deadlines
Excellent communication and group presentation skills
Mathematical aptitude and skills
Proven experience working collaboratively, improving productivity, and implementing ideas
Industry designations or progress toward designation (preferred)
Experience in comprehending and explaining Investment Manager capabilities and processes (required)
Strong investment acumen with the ability to explain in detail investment strategies and portfolio construction
Data interpretation from sources including Bloomberg, Morningstar, Zephyr and other resources
Able to manage complex or rapid flow of information and ideas effectively
In both oral and written communications, demonstrates the ability to articulate complex information in simple terms
Series 7 License required
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$60,000 - $70,000
