This Assistant Nurse Manager within Urgent Care would be the primary Nursing Leader responsible for the Eastern Region Urgent Care locations (Webster, Penfield, and future Geneva Medical Campus).
The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is responsible for the clinical care to patients and direct oversight of day-to-day responsibilities of nursing team members. The ANM is the main contact for a variety of nursing functions in support of management and staff. Serves as a resource for clinical expertise and mentoring / coaching of staff. Facilitates the delivery of quality patient care through strong critical thinking skills, open communication, collaboration with the interdisciplinary health team, and leadership. The ANM drives the staff to provide an exceptional experience for the patient and family.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performance Improvement / Evidence Based Practice/Nursing Research
- Direct Oversight of Nursing Personnel
- Participates in unit-specific and system-wide responsibilities
LOCATION: Float between Urgent Care Locations in the "East" Region, which will include Webster, Penfield, and future Geneva Medical Campus.
DEPARTMENT: Urgent Care
SCHEDULE: Day/Evening, plus potential for weekend call.
ATTRIBUTES:
- Diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or equivalent required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Registered Nurse license in New York State.
- Leadership & Management. Assume responsibility for overseeing nursing and non-nursing personnel on a unit; function as a unit leader with the ability to act as a resource (both clinically and non-clinically) for nursing personnel, physicians and providers; delegate appropriate responsibilities to assigned nurses and ancillary personnel; assess clinical expertise of nursing personnel, monitor assignments and provide feedback and documentation
- General Management. Perform daily leader rounding and assure team members are regularly rounding on all patients; develop programs and strategies to monitor the quality of patient care and patient outcomes; assist Nurse Manager in developing and implementing long-term staffing pattern, personnel needs, budget negotiation and recruitment plan
- AS: Nursing (Required)
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
- BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
