Are you an ambitious final-year masters student in Bioprocess Engineering, Life Sciences, Biomedical or Pharmaceutical Sciences and looking for a challenging graduation or research internship? As an intern you will work within the Competence Center Influenza (CCI) department, where you will work together with experienced laboratory technicians, scientists, process engineers and project leaders. The department is responsible for supporting influenza vaccine-related production processes and the required analytical release tests.

Your assignment is to investigate the potential improvements for the assigned downstream processes. To this aim, you will make a literature survey for the current approaches, and perform experiments for the approaches of interest, which is a great opportunity to experience working in GMP environment and research labs.

For this graduation or research internship we are looking for an ambitious and independent student with:

• An almost completed university education in Bioprocess Engineering, Bioengineering, Life Sciences, Biomedical or Pharmaceutical Sciences

• Affinity and/or interest to downstream bioprocess

• Wet lab experience

• Knowledge and/or interest on mathematical modelling

• A proactive working attitude and a great sense of responsibility

• Interest in the pharmaceutical industry and vaccine development

The internship period lasts at least 25 weeks. During this period you will be guided by our experienced team and will have the opportunity to further develop your knowledge and skills. In addition, Abbott offers good employment conditions and an excellent working atmosphere.
