Role Description We are seeking multiple Senior Process Engineers to join our Manufacturing Engineering team. Together, we're responsible for designing, developing, optimizing and scaling up a new class of battery manufacturing processes for Form Energy's Iron-Air multi-day battery.
As a Senior Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, driving capability and stability of novel manufacturing processes for the core battery assembly technologies. You will make significant contributions to the operational success of our Iron-Air Battery assembly processes as a whole. We are looking for someone who has hands-on experience developing new technologies from concept to scaled implementation, data driven and a proactive, interdisciplinary approach to problem-solving. Your work will make a significant and daily impact on cutting-edge battery technology that will revolutionize the electric grid and bring major change to grid reliability and sustainability. What You'll Do:
Lead the development and optimization of novel battery manufacturing technologies.
Enable highly capable processes. Driving yield, quality and performance through a data driven approach.
Partner closely with our Manufacturing Equipment to design, build, install, and run processes on first-of-kind manufacturing equipment.
Collaborate with the product design team, R&D, quality, and supply chain, to translate product requirements into a battery design and manufacturing process that achieve our company targets.
Collaborate cross functionally to develop and maintain PFMEA, Process specifications, measurement systems GR&;R, Control plan, statistical process control, and quality inspection methods (incoming, outgoing, and in-process.
