Wells Fargo Senior Lead Control Management Officer in WEST DES MOINES, Iowa

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Control Management Officer within the Central Control Programs team, focused on Legal Entity aspects of the RCSA Program. The successful candidate will help drive and coordinate work efforts to define the scope and scale of legal entity assessments and drive their creation through data analysis and aggregation. The successful candidate will also have experience organizing cross enterprise-level work and managing stakeholder groups to drive complex programs through to completion and will work closely with leaders across Independent Risk Management and Front Line Control Management in the development and execution of these priorities. Accordingly, critical success factors will include the ability to develop partnerships with many business and functional areas and provide execution excellence for risk and control management efforts.

In this role, you will:

  • Support Central Control Management and proactively seek ways to improve processes and procedures

  • Perform moderately complex research and evaluation

  • Provide support in the interpretation of policy, guidelines, and governance programs

  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership for implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large scale and cross organizational

  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across multiple lines of businesses and serve as an experienced advisor to the leadership

  • Provide direction to a cross functional team using business expertise

  • Lead complex initiatives designed to mitigate current and emerging risks with broad impact

  • Act as key participant in monitoring, evaluating, and measuring the impact of decisions practiced in Control Management functional area

  • Monitor moderately complex business specific programs, and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk-mitigation strategies

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Management Consulting, Strategy Consulting, or Business Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA).

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, coupled with an ability to translate ambiguous ideas/issues into well-defined plans/solutions with a track-record for delivering results

  • Risk management experience with demonstrated leadership skills and ability to drive improvements.

  • Proven, self-motivated and comfortable operating in large transformational programs as part of collaborative teams.

  • 5+ years' experience working within the Financial Services Industry, specifically Banking and Investment Management sectors

  • Compliance, Enterprise, Operational, or Financial Crimes risk management experience

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to adhere to strict deadlines in a challenging environment

  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision

  • Experience leading moderate to large scale projects and remediation efforts

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule

  • Position can report to any of the posted locations

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
