Position: Assisted Living Nurse

36 Hour Day Shift Position - 12 Hour Shifts and every-other-weekend commitment.

: As an Assisted Living Nurse at The McAuley, you'll be an integral part of our resident's healthcare journey. You'll provide compassionate care and contribute to the coordination of care along the health care continuum.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut, BSN preferred

  • A minimum of 1 year of Home Health Care experience

  • CPR certification.

Responsibilities:

  • Embrace and promote The McAuley's mission and core values in your daily work.

  • Continuously assess the residents' level of care and report any changes to the Supervisor.

  • Provide care and services to clients under the written order of a physician.

  • Be ready for weekend responsibilities and respond to emergencies with first aid.

  • Administer medications accurately and according to physician orders.

  • Maintain meticulous client records in accordance with nursing practice standards and The McAuley policies.

  • Provide guidance to certified nursing assistants when necessary.

  • Participate in resident certifications every 120 days.

  • Display courteous behavior and maintain resident privacy and confidentiality.

  • Uphold a professional image through adherence to the established dress code.

  • Exhibit dependability by meeting commitments within requested time frames.

  • Actively participate in educational and in-service programs.

  • Follow safety, security, infection control, and hazardous materials policies and procedures.

  • Focus on quality improvement and customer satisfaction in all aspects of work.
