How will you make an impact?

In this role, you will work mainly alongside with a dedicated HLA team from R&D Biochemistry Group. You will also have an opportunity to cross collaborate with other team members from the Product Management, Quality and manufacturing scientists, to help develop and optimize the process for the development of chemokine and other non-HLA detection products that are used in clinical and life-science research market.

An ideal candidate will have prior experience in chemokines and HLA, including recombinant protein expression in human cell culture (mammalian, insect cells, etc.), transfection, and protein purification. Prior experience working in GMP manufacturing and product development from concept to commercialization is a desirable experience as well.

What will you do?

  • You will drive development activities to deliver validated and transferable processes for the purpose of product development to aid the production of materials for clinical or commercial use.

  • Serve as process development representative on multiple programs, assisting in project planning and timeline development, and participating in process transfer.

  • Design and complete development experiments, research/source reagents, develop assay workflow, and participate in analytical activities related to both upstream and downstream processes.

  • Prepare and review technical data, collaborate with other division scientists, and cross-functional teams on data and experimental design, participate in investigations, and optimize processes.

How will you get here?

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree Molecular or Cellular Biology or related field with 6+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience.

Experience

  • Prior experience in protein expression and development required

  • Prior experience working with antibodies preferred

  • Prior experience working within a GMP lab and manufacturing environment preferred

  • Experience working with a global cross functional team useful

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Fast learner with confirmed independence in experimental design, data analysis and interpretation

  • Possesses a deep intellectual curiosity

  • Ability to work in collaborative and fast paced environment with shifting business needs and priorities

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $95,000.00–$130,000.00.
