VCA Animal Hospitals CVT/RVT needed in WEHO Immediately in West Hollywood, California

VCA TLC Animal Hospital GP/Urgent Care practice located in the heart of West Hollywood. We share our building with VCA Los Angeles Veterinary Specialist, our Internal Medicine Department.

We are seeking a highly experienced Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our team.

Compensation: $28/hr – $38/hr

Dependent on education, experience, credentials, location, nature of practice, schedule and additional responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist doctors with exams, treatments and procedures

  • Venipuncture and IVC placement

  • Administer SQ fluids, medications, etc.

  • Work in conjunction with all technical staff across the hospital to ensure hospitalized patients are receiving the best possible care and communicating frequently with the team

  • Recognize subtle change in clinical status

  • Discharge instructions with clients

  • Complete estimates, basic record keeping

  • Surgical preparation

  • Anesthesia monitoring

  • Advanced Phlebotomy

  • Monitoring Ventilator Cases

  • Apheresis

  • Diagnostic imaging (radiographs and assisting with ultrasounds)

Requirements

  • RVT Credentials

  • Proficient computer skills

  • Outstanding communication skills

  • Interpersonal skills

  • Ability to multitask

  • Love for animals
