As a 2nd Shift Switcher / Yard Driver working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00AM - 6:30 PM, you’ll get to make a difference in a fast-paced distribution center.

Qualification/Basic Job Requirements:

• Commercial Driver License (CDL)- Class A is required

• High School diploma or equivalent

• 1 to 3 years of tractor-trailer related experience is REQUIRED

• Ability to communicate effectively

• Must be able to work well under pressure

• DOT physical will be required

• Must have a favorable driving record

Job Responsibilities

• Have the ability to work under moderate supervision

• Completing trailer sanitation daily

• Complete daily inspection checklist of Cab

• Moving equipment around the yard

• Notifying management of repairs that need to be made

• Storing equipment in safe areas

• Conducting regular inspections of incoming containers per CT-PAT protocol when placing the at a door

• Conduct weekly yard checks

• Ensure seals or locks are placed on all Outbound trailers or on trailers carrying merchandise

• Assisting carriers in finding trailers or providing direction

• Monitor fluid levels and refill fluids such as Blue Def when required

• Lock Cab while not being used

• Systemically move trailers to match physical location using an RF Device

• Stage trailers in preparation of upcoming switches

• Safely conduct all Hot or Cold trailer switches efficiently as possible

• Overtime is sometime required in or to complete trailer switched

• Flexible Shift work may be required
