What you will be doing:

  • Develop a Center of Influence network by engaging in and representing the credit union at business networking and community activities. Actively represent Jovia in the community, generate business leads, and refer business opportunities. Through extensive involvement, create community awareness of Jovia’s focus commitment to the community its ability to provide exceptional banking solutions to small businesses and consumers.

  • Acts as liaison with community representatives, providing a channel of communication between community-based organizations and credit union.

  • Develop Community policy and procedures for evaluation of support requests in accordance with the credit unions strategic objectives.

  • Coordinate volunteer efforts and manage all aspects of community involvement activities with staff

  • Collaborate with internal committees to identify synergies and encourage employee participation

  • Work with the credit union’s public relations and social media representatives to ensure efforts are communicated. Provide information and review all press releases regarding community activities.

  • Ensure community outreach is consistent with credit union strategy and provide ideas for improving efficiency, productivity and results of Community Development efforts.

  • Develop tracking reports necessary to show all community contacts and provide update for management and Board..

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus one-year experience within a financial institution, or minimum three years Community Development and/or retail banking relationship management experience.

  • Consistently demonstrate leadership in the areas of member service, positive attitude, reliability, initiative, professionalism and work productivity by consistently achieving or exceeding standards set.

  • Experience and track record of proven success in:

  • External prospecting both phone and in person.

  • Generating leads and building a referral network.

  • Managing relationships.

  • Goal attainment.

  • Ability to influence others

  • Public speaking & conducting presentations

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Detail oriented and organized

  • Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner.
