Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining financial records in compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in bank reconciliations, proficiency in Excel, and a strong understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.

Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.

Assist in the month-end close process, including preparing financial statements and supporting schedules.

Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making.

Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.

Assist in annual audits by providing documentation and explanations for financial transactions.

Prepare various financial reports and ad-hoc analyses as requested.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Maintain compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Participate in special projects and initiatives to support departmental goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in the manufacturing or medical device industry.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas) and other accounting software.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.

Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

CPA or CPA candidate preferred (but not required).
